Keeping History Alive at Castle Island.
With over 25 years in IT, I have mainly worked as a Unix System Administrator while also taking on various other technical roles. I set up the hardware, designed the webpage layout, and wrote the content for this site.
I’ve always loved water, sailing, and history. Castle Island and Fort Independence are important parts of Boston and American history. In this year 2026, it has been fun to follow as many as 250 celebrations as possible in New England. Some are seen on this web-page.
I enjoyed gathering historical details about the fort for this website. I collected old images from various sources. The extensive knowledge of the entire CIA group has been a tremendous help. This website is a work in progress, and I look forward to adding more historical gems as I find them.
