Overview of Castle Island, Pleasure Bay, M Street Beach, and Carson Beach
Castle Island isn’t just about history—it’s a must-visit spot in Boston for a perfect day out!

Grab a seat on a park bench and enjoy the stunning harbor views. Watch planes, ships, and sailboats come and go. You can eat at Sully’s or bring your own picnic. Relax on the lawn with a hot dog or two, or gather with family at a picnic table under the shade, with a cooler nearby.
There’s a new playground on the island that kids will love. After lunch, they can soak up the sun or head to nearby beaches for a swim. The Department of Conservation and Recreation keeps everything clean and safe.
You’ll usually find free parking spots on weekdays. On sunny weekends, you might need to search a bit. There are also bike racks for your convenience.
